I opened the enclosure around 17:30 and the observer started their biases around 19:15. I focused SPIcam for the 2nd half observers around 01:05 with seen around 0.56 arc sec in z'. With the increase in cloud cover it made focusing the guider at the same location difficult. I tried rotating the instrument to several angles to no avail at locating a star to focus on and eventually had the observers slew to their first field. I found a focus star there and found the guider focus to be around 0.75 arc sec with a clear filter in place and 15 sec exposure (very faint star due to cloud extinction). By 05:10 the clouds become too thick to get anything useful from SPIcam so the observer decided to call it quits for the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:05 Echelle -51(-141) -113 61 10.3/11.4 222 15 ND2 0.77 01:04 SPIcam -110(817) 131 70 10.2/9.9 215 11 z' 0.56 01:28 NA2gdr -93(48906) -48 65 10.2/9.9 218 11 clear 0.75 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 59 9 13 232 (SW) 1262 Cirrus none 17:01 61 9 16 268 (W) 1673 Cirrus none 18:01 55 7 12 254 (WSW) 1634 Lt.
