Since the observer was using DIS I kept the enclosure closed and dark so they could take cal lamps. We opened around 18:30, after the observer finished with their cal lamps, under clear skies. I focused for the observer, seeing was around 1.2 arc sec. and handed the telescope over to them when I finished. We switched to SPIcam for the 2nd half program (they started with DIS) around 03:35. No problems tonight with excellent seeing during the latter half of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:45 DISSlit 100(430) -45 55 -0.4/1.0 256 9 none 1.20 18:54 NA2gdr -2237(38762) -45 55 -0.4/1.0 251 11 R 1.16 20:43 DISslit 100(369) -43 55 -0.5/-0.5 265 11 none 1.20 20:49 NA2gdr -773(40279) -43 55 -0.4/-0.5 262 10 R 1.31 00:15 DISslit -50(166) 135 74 1.1/-0.5 309 11 none 1.30 00:18 NA2gdr -1312(39687 135 74 1.3/-0.5 308 12 R 1.13 04:22 SPIcam -180(456) 276 40 1.5/0.9 315 14 V 0.87 04:24 NA2gdr 522(49522) 276 40 1.7/0.8 313 14 clear 0.88 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 34 8 15 308 (NW) 161 Clear none 17:01 36 10 11 270 (W) 199 Clear none 18:01 32 9 8 274 (W) 152 Clear none 19:01 31 10 11 239 (WSW) 185 Clear none 20:01 31 13 8 255 (WSW) 232 Clear none 21:01 31 12 10 265 (W) 215 Clear none 22:01 31 11 5 266 (W) 237 Clear none 23:01 34 11 10 279 (W) 242 Clear none 00:01 34 12 9 290 (WNW) 214 Clear none 01:01 34 12 9 283 (WNW) 215 Clear none 02:01 34 14 9 305 (NW) 214 Clear none 03:01 35 9 11 324 (NW) 180 Clear none 04:01 35 9 15 333 (NNW) 168 Clear none 05:01 34 12 12 317 (NW) 187 Clear none 06:01 33 12 12 319 (NW) 177 Clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
