John Barentine was here to observe for Don Lamb on a GRB follow-up that has been nixed via weather for the past several weeks. We had a few cirrus clouds in the sky around sunset but nothing to stop us and the forcast (and satellite) showed lots of clear sky around us. I switched over to DIS around 21:55 and John started taking data for Don (who would log in later). DIS had a hickup in readout that required us to restart the ICC. The UC07 program effectively lost a 1hr exposure and 20 mins additional to fix the instrument so we could use it again. PR was filed. I accounted the time lost due to instrument probles as 1.3 hrs since the 1hr exposure was non-recoverable. Other than the one glitch with DIS everything else ran smooth. Seeing varied from 2 arc sec to 0.7 arc sec thru the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UC07 D I/S 02:20 03:40 DIS read failed, 1hr img lost ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:57 SPIcam -250(459) 143 59 2.7/4.3 0 11 i' 1.5 18:59 NA2gdr 790(49790) 143 59 2.7/4.4 348 10 R 1.58 22:18 DIS -90(348) 83 85 4.2/3.0 353 7 none 2.0 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 41 24 9 348 (NNW) 202 Lt.
