Skies clouded up and humidity spiked at 19:45. Within 5 minutes of closing it snow flurries started. The humidity kept us closed the remained of first half. 2nd Half Observing Specialists: R.McMillan We had about 2 inches of snow on the ground when the clouds began to clear off after 0100. Humidity remained high in addition to the accumulated snow on the dome, so we were unable to open. I ran the snow program. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:52 dis-slit 75(416) -11 70 -2.6/0.0 180 7 - 1.24 18:54 NA2gdr 0(41000) -12 69 -2.2/-0.1 181 11 R 1.12 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 29 20 8 185 (S) 364 prtly cldy none 17:01 28 19 9 214 (SW) 357 prtly cldy none 18:01 28 20 1 264 (W) 359 prtly cldy none 19:01 28 17 7 182 (S) 425 mstly cldy flurries 20:01 26 21 5 94 (E) 430 mstly cldy none 21:01 24 23 3 340 (NNW) 384 cloudy flurries 22:01 24 22 0 135 (SE) 397 cloudy flurries 23:01 24 24 0 250 (WSW) 16881 cloudy flurries 00:01 24 23 4 264 (W) 2296 cloudy snow 01:01 23 22 8 354 (N) 763 cloudy snow 02:01 23 17 5 282 (WNW) 300 ptly cldy none 03:01 22 19 4 280 (W) 3653 ptly cldy none 04:01 21 18 2 218 (SW) 7524 ptly cldy fog 05:01 21 18 5 255 (WSW) 6772 ptly cldy fog 06:01 21 19 4 262 (W) 218 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
