"Slight chance of snow," "little additional accumulation expected," and "chance of precipitation 20%" should be interpreted as "Winter weather advisory. Continuous snowfall throughout the night. Accumulation 6 inches or greater with considerable blowing and drifting. Visibility near zero at times." Aside from running the snow program, I did some tests of the new shutter on the GFP (a slight dark current was apparent, but no light leaks), the latest TUI version (making steady progress), SPIcam darks (neither dark current nor light leaks apparent), and pinhole images of the new tertiary baffle. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 26 22 27 268 (W) 612 cloudy snow 17:01 26 22 24 283 (WNW) 1919 cloudy snow 18:01 26 24 25 290 (WNW) 2449 cloudy snow 19:01 26 24 21 294 (WNW) 250 cloudy snow 20:01 26 23 19 303 (WNW) 285 cloudy snow 21:01 26 23 13 333 (NNW) 174 cloudy snow 22:01 26 22 24 305 (NW) 371 cloudy snow 23:01 25 22 13 276 (W) 499 cloudy snow 00:01 25 22 19 304 (NW) 757 cloudy snow 01:01 25 21 17 305 (NW) 337 cloudy snow 02:01 25 22 14 302 (WNW) 84 cloudy snow 03:01 25 20 13 309 (NW) 80 cloudy snow 04:01 25 21 11 310 (NW) 54 cloudy snow 05:01 25 21 9 326 (NW) 221 cloudy snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
