Around 19:25 the clouds were a bit too thick to get any useful science data thru, so we waited. The clouds thinned again (although there were still a lot of clouds around) around 19:50 and the observer started collecting data again. At 21:00 the clouds were thick enough to warrant closing the eyelids and at 21:45 I felt that it would be prudent to close the enclosure as well (although I wasn't sure if there indeed was the threat of rain or not, but the clouds were too thick to get any useful science). Clouds never got much better for the remainder of the night. We had a few holes but they seemed to evaporate as quickly as they would appear. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:43 SPIcam -200(674) 114 60 6.4/8.2 270 9 z' 0.88 18:47 NA2guider 692(49692) 114 60 6.4/8.1 270 12 R 0.95 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 46 15 11 272 (W) 512 Cloudy none 17:01 46 17 10 274 (W) 593 Cloudy none 18:01 45 13 9 275 (W) 576 Pt.
