It started snowing at 23:30. 2nd Half Observing Specialists: R.McMillan Snow stopped falling after 03:00, but blowing snow continued to be a problem near ground level. When the clouds began to thin, I spent a few minutes checking for blowing snow at the dome level before deciding it was safe to open. We got a standard and two science targets before rising humidity forced us to close. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:51 DISslit -150(-32) 183 80 -4.5/-4.7 273 13 - 1.00 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 30 16 25 251 (WSW) 253 cloudy none 17:01 30 18 19 262 (W) 300 cloudy none 18:01 26 18 20 271 (W) 347 cloudy none 19:01 25 18 20 282 (WNW) 316 cloudy none 20:01 25 17 21 294 (WNW) 308 cloudy none 21:01 25 14 18 314 (NW) 189 cloudy none 22:01 25 14 12 313 (NW) 149 cloudy none 23:01 25 14 7 284 (WNW) 97 cloudy snow 00:01 25 15 17 298 (WNW) 143 cloudy snow 01:01 24 16 15 310 (NW) 181 cloudy snow 02:01 23 18 15 316 (NW) 202 cloudy snow 03:01 23 16 14 282 (WNW) 261 mstly cldy none 04:01 24 16 15 289 (WNW) 279 ptly cldy none 05:01 24 18 19 271 (W) 294 ptly cldy none 06:01 23 18 9 273 (W) 305 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
