The tertiary was already set up for the echelle last evening so checkout went fast. Focused as soon as it was dark enough into twilight. Ckies started to cloud up at 20:30 and steadily got worse until no useful science could be accomplished at 22:00. I never reopened for the rest of the night. There was one crash of the Echelle slitviewer but resetting it went flawlessly and no time was considered lost. Spend most of second half training G.Stringfellow from CU. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UC09 E I/S --:-- --:-- Guider froze, required reboot of icc ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:40 Echelle -2(176) 186 77 4.3/5.0 270 15 nd1 1.14 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 43 25 11 265 (W) 678 mstly clear none 17:01 41 25 14 267 (W) 705 mstly clear none 18:01 41 25 13 268 (W) 766 prtly cldy none 19:01 40 24 25 268 (W) 500 prtly cldy none 20:01 41 25 14 264 (W) 460 mstly cldy none 21:01 41 25 18 262 (W) 565 mstly cldy none 22:01 41 25 12 264 (W) 507 cloudy none 23:01 41 26 18 240 (WSW) 476 cloudy none 00:01 40 27 18 254 (WSW) 521 cloudy none 01:01 38 27 14 237 (WSW) 530 cloudy none 02:01 37 26 18 238 (WSW) 474 cloudy none 03:01 36 26 15 233 (SW) 491 cloudy none 04:01 35 27 10 269 (W) 642 cloudy nonE Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
