An hour later the snow began accumulating outside. The APO Snow Removal Team -- a corps of experts -- sprang into action, clearing sidewalks with ruthless efficiency as the snowfall morphed into a freezing rain event toward 04:00. The storm paused for a while before picking up again after 05:00. At this point, Jurek and I agreed that the night was a loss. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 39 10 11 188 (S) 332 cloudy none 17:01 36 5 19 195 (SSW) 252 cloudy none 18:01 37 11 18 194 (SSW) 298 cloudy none 19:01 35 16 19 202 (SSW) 893 cloudy none 20:01 34 14 14 216 (SW) 1198 cloudy none 21:01 33 13 8 249 (WSW) 1390 cloudy none 22:01 33 9 8 264 (W) 1038 cloudy none 23:01 33 24 8 266 (W) 1202 cloudy none 00:01 34 25 14 263 (W) 0 cloudy snow flurries 01:01 35 25 19 243 (WSW) 0 cloudy snow flurries 02:01 33 27 11 245 (WSW) 557 Overcast snow 03:01 29 28 13 265 (W) 5853 Overcast snow 04:01 30 30 19 236 (SW) 274 Overcast freezing rain 05:01 30 30 15 256 (WSW) 644 Overcast snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
