The observer was looking at a region of sky where not many guide stars could be found but otherwise things went smoothly. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan The second half observer got started a little late because there was no advance email sent and the observer logged in just in time (rather than a little early). We had light cirrus and mostly bad seeing, sometimes making it very difficult for the guider to recognize guide stars. Aside from the seeing-related difficulties, everything worked perfectly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:11 dis-slit 80(1125) 186 77 5.6/6.1 7 14 - 0.84 18:17 NA2gdr 3892(47892) 192 76 5.8/6.1 17 10 R 0.7 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 43 -5 19 11 (N) 80 clear none 17:01 42 -6 22 10 (N) 48 clear none 18:01 42 -5 18 18 (NNE) 27 clear none 19:01 43 -4 15 15 (NNE) 24 clear none 20:01 42 -3 20 10 (N) 49 clear none 21:01 43 0 15 4 (N) 46 clear none 22:01 44 0 11 15 (NNE) 63 clear none 23:01 47 2 14 61 (ENE) 43 clear none 00:01 47 0 21 48 (NE) 37 lt. cirrus none 01:01 45 0 21 70 (ENE) 57 lt. cirrus none 02:01 43 0 13 66 (ENE) 48 lt. cirrus none 03:01 38 0 16 77 (ENE) 61 lt. cirrus none 04:01 31 2 18 73 (ENE) 125 lt. cirrus none 05:01 34 2 14 76 (ENE) 127 lt. cirrus none 06:01 36 1 6 101 (E) 123 lt. cirrus none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
