I adjusted the focus on the fly while the observers were running DIS during the first half. Not much helped with such poor seeing. The winds kicked up around midnight and became too gusty at 03:00 to observe anymore. We gave up around 04:45 when the sustained wind speeds topped 50MPH. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:49 DISslit 75(1060) 54 77 3.5/5.2 260 12 none 1.40 17:57 NA2gdr 2234(46243) 51 78 3.7/4.9 249 16 R 2.37 23:52 DISslit 30(798) 78 59 0.6/0.6 216 26 none 1.47 23:57 NA2gdr 2653(46653) 79 60 0.4/0.6 219 27 R 1.41 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 43 18 8 259 (W) 22 Clear none 17:01 39 19 10 266 (W) 24 Clear none 18:01 38 17 9 254 (WSW) 29 Cirrus none 19:01 37 18 14 236 (SW) 37 Cirrus none 20:01 35 19 14 246 (WSW) 46 Cirrus none 21:01 34 19 23 238 (WSW) 47 Cirrus none 22:01 34 19 14 250 (WSW) 52 Cirrus none 23:01 35 19 19 249 (WSW) 74 Cirrus none 00:01 33 18 25 216 (SW) 148 Mst.
