The echelle slitviewer crashed for the first time at about 18:45; fortunately, recovery was quick. The second crash happened about 15 minutes later, then a third at 20:05. The leading edge of a storm system moving in from Arizona arrived shortly after 20:00. By 21:00 the sky was soup and precipitation threatened from the west, so I opted to close. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Clouds all second half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UW10 E I/S 18:40 18:48 Ech SV ICC crash ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:09 Echelle 27(13) 198 76 -0.2/0.2 257 9 ND1 1.11 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 33 12 16 222 (SW) 474 Clear none 17:01 32 12 14 211 (SSW) 475 Clear none 18:01 32 14 2 239 (WSW) 582 Clear none 19:01 32 16 14 238 (WSW) 424 Clear none 20:01 31 19 15 269 (W) 527 MstlyClr none 21:01 32 19 16 239 (WSW) 531 MstlyCldy none 22:01 32 17 17 233 (SW) 436 Overcast none 23:01 31 17 14 239 (WSW) 411 Overcast none 00:01 31 18 11 252 (WSW) 524 overcast none 01:01 30 18 19 238 (WSW) 460 overcast none 02:01 29 17 13 265 (W) 483 overcast none 03:01 27 14 16 267 (W) 454 overcast none 04:01 26 11 15 253 (WSW) 393 overcast none 05:01 25 11 16 262 (W) 400 overcast none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
