After watching the humidity and the radar for a while (satellites still down in the middle of the night, for another couple of weeks), I decided we could give it a try and we opened up. Clouds coming and going made it difficult to get many photons, but we kept trying until a thicker band of clouds moved in and the satellites came back to tell us it wasn't going to get any better. That was enough to obtain good data on one target despite the clouds. Everything worked perfectly second half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:31 dis-slit -50(984) 88 59 11.1/15.4 83 9 - 1.34 19:34 NA2gdr 3663(44663) 88 60 10.9/15.2 78 9 R 1.19 03:31 DISslit 150(975) 252 52 10.2/10.4 159 17 - 1.22 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 60 29 1 266 (W) 161 prtly cldy none 17:01 62 29 11 284 (WNW) 118 prtly cldy none 18:01 58 26 1 346 (NNW) 149 prtly cldy humid 19:01 54 45 8 82 (E) 179 prtly cldy humid 20:01 51 48 13 78 (ENE) 530 cloudy humid 21:01 50 47 11 66 (ENE) 642 prtly cldy humid 22:01 50 44 7 92 (E) 478 clear humid 23:01 47 45 12 83 (E) 520 mstly clr humid 00:01 49 47 16 121 (ESE) 682 mstly clr humid 01:01 49 48 23 131 (SE) 643 ptly cldy humid 02:01 49 48 19 142 (SE) 578 ptly cldy none 03:01 49 40 18 150 (SSE) 286 ptly cldy none 04:01 51 37 16 167 (SSE) 246 ptly cldy none 05:01 51 38 15 175 (S) 251 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
