I focused the telescope around 19:15 with seeing around 0.86 arc sec. Not bad for a due E wind. Everything ran smoothly first half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Tonight marks our fourth consecutive night of switching seamlessly between TUI and Remark at the program change. Not bad! Aside from that . . . photometric, very good seeing, perfect behavior from instrument and telescope . . . boredom can be a good thing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:16 DISslit 90(1026) 192 77 13.7/15.9 90 6 none 0.86 19:24 NA2gdr 749(44750) 198 76 13.8/15.8 89 7 R 0.96 01:10 DISslit 100(982) 169 57 12.0/11.7 35 13 - 1.05 01:14 NA2gdr -221(43778) 155 55 12.0/11.7 43 11 Clear 0.9 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 60 24 6 284 (WNW) 347 Clear none 18:01 59 24 6 293 (WNW) 356 Clear none 19:01 57 21 8 67 (ENE) 339 Clear none 20:01 55 18 7 90 (E) 279 Clear none 21:01 55 18 12 74 (ENE) 265 Clear none 22:01 56 19 13 45 (NE) 301 Clear none 23:01 54 18 7 0 (N) 318 Clear none 00:01 50 20 3 70 (ENE) 347 clear none 01:01 54 17 10 31 (NNE) 355 clear none 02:01 55 14 10 48 (NE) 310 clear none 03:01 54 15 9 61 (ENE) 355 clear none 04:01 53 15 7 83 (E) 459 clear none 05:01 53 16 5 92 (E) 681 clear none 06:01 52 17 7 85 (E) 711 clear none 07:01 51 19 9 88 (E) 711 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
