As soon as it got dark, initially good seeing values once again went due south as the wind went nearly due east. This was accompanied by a rapid focus change that tracked the descending air temperature. Rest of the half was generally quiet. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Another flawless night. Seeing around 1 arcsecond for most of second half, increasing to about 1.5 arcseconds towards dawn. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:27 dis-slit -130(948) 187 80 14.0/17.0 95 2 - 0.85 19:34 NA2gdr -1109(42890)196 79 14.0/16.8 103 5 R 0.97 00:19 dis-slit 75(1027) 274 49 12.9/12.6 196 1 - 0.99 -------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 65 25 8 266 (W) 366 Clear none 17:01 64 25 2 191 (S) 397 Clear none 18:01 59 24 1 251 (WSW) 376 Clear none 19:01 57 22 0 84 (E) 346 Clear none 20:01 56 22 6 108 (ESE) 304 Clear none 21:01 54 21 6 100 (E) 294 Clear none 22:01 56 24 1 114 (ESE) 410 Clear none 23:01 56 22 1 228 (SW) 316 Clear none 00:01 55 24 3 218 (SW) 363 Clear none 02:01 54 25 1 247 (WSW) 355 clear none 03:01 54 23 3 335 (NNW) 376 clear none 04:01 53 25 6 328 (NNW) 385 clear none 05:01 51 25 1 40 (NE) 402 clear none 06:01 51 25 0 158 (SSE) 401 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
