Dembicky Opened the enclosure and started cooling around 16:15 tonight. Seeing was poor at around 1.7 arc sec and clouds moved in around 20:00. We had some clearer skies move in from the East around 23:20. After waiting to make sure it wasn't just a sucker hole (we had 3 systems moving in 3 directions over us) I opened back up around 23:55. I focused the telescope at 00:07 with 1.5 arc sec seeing and handed the telescope back over to the observer. The wind went above closure limits around 00:55 and kept us closed, as well as humidity later in the night, the remainder of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:19 Echelle -121(-505) 154 61 2.0/4.7 57 4 ND1 1.72 00:07 Echelle -141(-573) 233 52 1.8/2.8 78 25 ND1 1.53 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 40 18 5 43 (NE) 71 Cirrus none 17:01 40 12 8 13 (NNE) 30 Cirrus none 18:01 38 12 10 6 (N) 56 Cirrus none 19:01 40 7 6 346 (NNW) 23 Pt.
