We had cirrus passing through, but nothing heavy enough to impede photons much. Seeing was good to excellent for long stretches of time, only getting above 1.2 arcseconds for about half an hour. Everything worked well except that pointing was noticeably poor and inconsistent; a single local correction did not help on subsequent slews. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:47 dis-slit -230(440) 181 59 5.8/7.1 263 10 - 0.82 18:53 NA2gdr -568(40431) 184 59 5.7/6.8 266 10 R 0.80 00:24 DISslit -100(479) -46 45 4.6/4.0 28 10 - 1.01 00:29 NA2gdr -533(40466) -46 44 4.4/4.1 37 13 R 0.98 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 45 3 14 283 (WNW) 191 clear none 17:01 45 7 6 270 (W) 311 clear none 18:01 43 5 12 269 (W) 441 clear none 19:01 42 3 9 268 (W) 621 clear none 20:01 42 4 10 292 (WNW) 530 clear none 21:01 41 6 11 307 (NW) 382 clear none 22:01 38 11 12 16 (NNE) 453 clear none 23:01 40 9 16 32 (NNE) 182 clear none 00:01 40 9 13 27 (NNE) 93 clear none 01:01 39 5 9 0 (N) 91 clear none 02:01 38 12 13 32 (NNE) 126 cirrus none 03:01 38 11 7 350 (N) 142 cirrus none 04:01 38 10 9 344 (NNW) 132 cirrus none 05:01 37 11 11 329 (NNW) 154 cirrus none 06:01 36 12 12 327 (NNW) 166 cirrus none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
