We had cirrus clouds for most of the first half of the night, increasing towards midnight. At around 01:00 the observer reported getting very almost nothing with the echelle when observing a 1.4 mag star. I decided to close at this point until conditions improved. We gave up at 04:45 since the satellite did not show any signs of improvement and we were under cloudcover. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:18 Echelle 28(-239) 191 40 6.2/5.3 62 15 clear 1.57 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 40 20 6 13 (NNE) 329 Cirrus none 17:01 42 14 8 68 (ENE) 187 Cirrus none 18:01 42 13 12 59 (ENE) 75 Cirrus none 19:01 44 12 9 69 (ENE) 42 Mst.
