Finally things cleared up toward midnight and we opened a minute past. Luckily we were very nearly in focus when we began and the first half observers were able to begin their program quickly. Scott ceded a few minutes of his scheduled time to Wei and Kuenley in order for them to get as much useful data is possible, then we did the switch to DIS. Clouds started rolling in within an hour and we closed just short of 03:30 when the humidity rolled over the closure limit. Scott decided to hang on until 04:30 when we declared the night a wash. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:20 GrIm2(f/5) 0(784) 123 61 12.2/13.1 91 4 J 0.95 01:17 DISslit -50(712) 266 68 12.8/12.7 82 1 - 0.72 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 56 52 7 78 (ENE) 410 MstlyCldy lt rain 17:01 53 51 17 67 (ENE) 259 MstlyCldy lt rain 18:01 53 49 6 53 (NE) 441 MstlyCldy lt rain 19:01 54 45 7 94 (E) 228 MstlyCldy none 20:01 55 45 0 28 (NNE) 75 MstlyCldy none 21:01 56 47 0 80 (E) 328 MstlyCldy none 22:01 57 48 0 243 (WSW) 380 MstlyCldy none 23:01 56 48 4 156 (SSE) 402 MstlyCldy none 00:01 54 47 1 104 (ESE) 202 MstlyClr none 01:01 56 46 2 37 (NE) 206 MstlyClr none 02:01 55 45 6 62 (ENE) 168 PtlyCldy none 03:01 52 48 6 80 (E) 232 MstlyCldy none 04:01 52 49 8 61 (ENE) 188 Overcast rain note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
