Ketzeback, J. Dembicky Took Shack Hartmann Reference frames but before we could go to our first star the sky clouded and looked threatening so we closed up. Opened at 21:50. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Thick clouds around midnight precluded science for some time but did not seem particularly threatening. I was about to close simply because nothing was being accomplished, when the clouds began to lighten. Observations resumed and everything went smoothly until a bank of lower-altitude clouds arrived after 5:00 am, accompanied by a spike in humidity. The dome was closed at 05:15. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:19 GRIM-f/5 60(940) 121 63 13.3/14.4 272 16 J 0.66 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 62 43 14 256 (WSW) 315 Prtly Cldy None 17:01 61 39 11 276 (W) 333 Prtly Cldy None 18:01 63 40 19 255 (WSW) 322 Prtly Cldy None 19:01 59 39 18 265 (W) 405 Prtly Cldy None 20:01 58 39 16 268 (W) 491 Mstly Cldy None 21:01 58 42 13 258 (WSW) 470 Mstly Cldy None 22:01 57 43 17 267 (W) 463 Prtly Cldy None 23:01 57 43 15 277 (W) 443 Prtly Cldy None 00:01 56 42 17 273 (W) 322 ptly cldy none 01:01 56 41 18 272 (W) 312 mstly cldy none 02:01 55 42 19 271 (W) 248 ptly cldy none 03:01 54 43 16 283 (WNW) 231 cirrus none 04:01 53 44 17 262 (W) 210 mstly clr none 05:01 52 45 22 285 (WNW) 279 ptly cldy none 06:01 51 49 23 266 (W) 306 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
