Dembicky Since Bruce wanted to get some evening twilight flats with the Fabry-Perot, I swapped time with the PU04 program for later in the night (since I would be using the Shack-Hartman). This worked to both programs benefit as it allowed the telescope time to cool and come to equilibrium for the S-H tests and Bruce had targets for the start of the night and end of the night, with a slowdown in the middle, and also needed to get sky flats (preferably evening). I started the cooling fans around 18:15 and opened the enclosure around 18:45 to further help the cooling process. I closed the dome around 21:50 due to sustained high winds, the humidity rose shortly thereafter to above closure levels as well. Unfortunately the humidity never dropped for the remainder of the night. Bruce and Carol threw in the towel shortly after 4AM and I gave up around 5AM. The rain sensor also triggered around 04:30AM although we couldn't really detect any noticable precip. We did close the cloud camera at that time though. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:30 GFP+ -90(887) 182 35 8.7/9.7 75 21 6717 1.54 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 47 42 16 46 (NE) 58 Pt.
