The winds were low to moderate, temps cool and sky continued to clear as twilight passed. No problems encountered during startup. The observer from last night's NMSU program was unavailable tonight, so the time was given to NM03 again. Peregrine was also planning on doing a little service observing for Atsuko Nitta's NMSU program from last quarter, so the time was not wasted. Just as we were about to focus the clouds quickly moved in again forcing us to close. Rain/virga accompanied the clouds all night, although not much moisture actually fell here. We never were able to open again, as things looked hopeless we packed it in around 04:00. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 68 28 14 306 (NW) 1057 ptly cldy none 19:01 65 31 10 283 (WNW) 1413 ptly cldy none 20:01 63 33 4 355 (N) 1496 ptly cldy none 21:01 62 34 5 84 (E) 1482 cloudy none 22:01 60 38 4 91 (E) 2037 cloudy none 23:01 61 36 0 82 (E) 2166 cloudy none 00:01 62 34 0 173 (S) 2008 cloudy none 01:01 62 32 2 268 (W) 1855 cloudy none 02:01 61 32 0 282 (WNW) 1662 cloudy none 03:01 60 34 6 59 (ENE) 1495 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
