Dembicky Started cooling fans around 19:30, opened the enclosure under clearing skies around 20:45. Instrument switchover took place at 00:48 when the first program for the night finished a few mins. ahead of schedule. I had the 2nd half program up and running at 00:52. When the 2nd half observer started on his first target, the computer would honk at us after each offset the autoguider tried making. The offset were issued and went thru fine, but it was trying to use a rotator with the echelle which caused the honk. This same problem was discovered during the last engineering run, but blamed on the pointing model routine. This isn't the case. Luckily the fix was found in the logs from the last engineering run (issue a rotate 0 mount in the tcc) and that killed the annoying honk (well actually it stopped the tcc from trying to unsucessfully rotate the echelle, the honk was just an annoyance). Other than the honking remark, no problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:48 DISslit -30(1066) 129 66 16.9/19.7 79 12 none 1.70 20:53 NA2gdr -1759(52240) 131 67 16.9/19.6 81 12 R 1.61 23:18 DISslit 0(1058) 250 38 15.5/16.1 121 19 none 1.67 23:25 NA2gdr 1494(55494) 252 37 15.5/16.1 125 22 R 1.86 01:14 Echelle 62(263) 205 29 14.1/14.7 144 18 clear 2.34 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 66 34 1 133 (SE) 965 Mst.
