All systems were restarted without incident. The Obs-2 Macintosh did crash when I tried to restart Remark. A reboot fixed it. Tonight we realized that the group of observers at APO tonight resembled the various computer and software systems here. The native languages of the various members included the following: Bulgarian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, English, Japanese, Polish and Malay. And just as surprising as it is that all the APO computers communicate, we also managed quite well. :) I closed due to thick clouds at 23:15 and reopened at 00:16 MDT. The second half program was delayed in starting due to poor weather conditions hampering focus and pointing corrections. Eventually, the clouds abated enough to begin exposing for a bit. We were forced to close again at 03:01 due to thick and threatening clouds. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:53 SPIcam 60(1358) 201 54 19.3/20.6 268 8 i' 0.78 20:59 NA2 Gdr 291(61290) 205 54 19.3/20.4 266 13 R 0.86 22:30 SPIcam 70(1293) 342 56 18.3/18.9 300 11 i' 0.90 22:40 NA2 Gdr -410(60592 0 59 18.2/18.7 270 10 Clear 0.89 01:45 Echelle 125(279) 63 53 16.4/17.1 277 19 ND1 1.21 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 78 23 20 246 (WSW) 951 ptly cldy none 19:01 72 20 14 264 (W) 887 clear none 20:01 67 20 15 268 (W) 931 clear none 21:01 66 19 15 267 (W) 970 clear none 22:01 65 20 7 266 (W) 1048 clear none 23:01 65 20 9 269 (W) 927 cloudy none 00:01 64 19 8 279 (W) 993 ptly cldy none 01:01 62 18 13 321 (NW) 1022 cloudy none 02:01 61 18 8 286 (WNW) 1172 cloudy none 03:01 61 18 5 336 (NNW) 1023 cloudy none 04:01 60 18 8 312 (NW) 825 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
