The clouds soon moved in and hampered focusing, but eventually they cleared off and the skies stayed clear throughout first half. Second half started without difficulty and we observed under clear skies until the winds shifted and humidity rose. Once winds rose beyond 35 mph I had to close and we remained so all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:30 DIS Slit 50(1312) -117 40 20.5/21.1 269 17 - 1.7 00:15 DIS Slit 0(1030) 67 82 17.7/18.5 264 5 - 1.1 01:10 SPIcam 200(1542) -67 27 18.2/18.5 357 13 r' 1.5 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 76 28 13 233 (SW) 1396 ptly cldy none 19:01 74 28 17 265 (W) 882 ptly cldy none 20:01 71 28 17 272 (W) 892 ptly cldy none 21:01 69 25 16 268 (W) 793 ptly cldy none 22:01 68 25 24 290 (WNW) 915 clear none 23:01 66 27 10 277 (W) 2695 clear none 00:01 65 26 11 321 (NW) 1953 clear none 01:01 65 17 10 15 (NNE) 1282 clear none 02:01 65 15 9 26 (NNE) 741 clear none 03:01 55 34 24 65 (ENE) 1654 clear none 04:01 54 38 30 54 (NE) 1251 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
