All systems started up smoothly and pointing was excellent. So was tracking, no sign of the previous night's problems. At the start of the last program we had an MC crash. Restarted okay and we began observing soon afterwards. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CU03 E T/S 02:25 02:35 MC Crashed ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:07 DIS Slit 50(1150) 206 67 18.6/20.6 146 21 - 0.99 21:30 NA2 Gdr 2980(56979) 354 71 18.0/19.4 143 18 Clear 1.43 02:15 Echelle 170(442) 177 33 17.5/16.9 188 11 Clear 1.31 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 80 23 9 195 (SSW) 231 clear none 17:01 79 22 18 243 (WSW) 204 clear none 18:01 77 22 18 184 (S) 299 clear none 19:01 74 22 18 220 (SW) 228 clear none 20:01 67 24 10 171 (S) 389 clear none 21:01 65 27 20 144 (SE) 752 clear none 22:01 63 28 16 139 (SE) 611 clear none 23:01 63 27 14 142 (SE) 585 clear none 00:01 61 28 11 154 (SSE) 608 clear none 01:01 65 25 7 182 (S) 502 clear none 02:01 64 27 9 179 (S) 611 clear none 03:01 62 30 14 170 (S) 687 clear none 04:01 60 32 15 171 (S) 689 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
