Dembicky I opened the enclosure and mirror covers around 19:30 tonight. The cooling fans were turned on earlier, around 19:20. Lots of cirrus clouds prevented us from starting with GRIM on time tonight. We finally were able to get some data at 22:20 although clouds came and went thru the night. We had a minor dust event (counts never went over 4000 cts) around midnight but we remained open thru it. The lensed quasar 2237 was observed tonight although the seeing was variable and not the greatest once the observations of the QSO were started. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:30 GrIm-f/5 100(951) 154 55 12.6/13.2 217 15 J 0.85 01:16 GrIm-f/5 180(1016) 70 45 11.3/11.8 187 23 H 0.76 04:35 SPIcam 120(1041) 119 42 10.0/10.6 224 9 r' 0.82 04:45 NA2gdr 0(61000) 119 42 10.0/10.6 224 9 R 1.19 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 64 18 17 237 (WSW) 559 Cirrus none 17:01 66 18 14 259 (W) 700 Cirrus none 18:01 63 17 12 239 (WSW) 513 Cirrus none 19:01 60 18 12 242 (WSW) 616 Cirrus none 20:01 56 18 6 229 (SW) 784 Cirrus none 21:01 54 18 7 190 (S) 751 Cirrus none 22:01 54 18 9 184 (S) 714 Cirrus none 23:01 55 22 14 206 (SSW) 846 Lt.
