Clouds came and went with periods of good and bad seeing. Winds were lower than last night and not quite so eastern. The first half observer yielded about 30 minutes of his time toward 00:30 to Atsuko since clouds were moving in on their target. Second half continued smooth with frequent waves of clouds. The humidity crept up around 03:00 but never reached the limit, so we stayed open. Despite east winds, our seeing was subarcsecond most of this time with occasional departures up to the 1.1-1.3 arcsecond range. All quiet on the telescope front. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:53 DISslit -300(582) 126 73 10.2/14.6 110 13 - 1.66 21:13 NA2gdr -2500(54500)288 50 10.4/13.2 125 15 clear 2.64 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 66 37 11 253 (WSW) 1400 PtlyCldy none 17:01 61 35 2 191 (S) 1342 PtlyCldy none 18:01 58 34 5 89 (E) 1232 PtlyCldy none 19:01 57 35 7 203 (SSW) 2127 PtlyCldy none 20:01 53 36 13 112 (ESE) 2011 PtlyCldy none 21:01 51 36 9 108 (ESE) 2021 PtlyCldy none 22:01 54 22 14 128 (SE) 1467 PtlyCldy none 23:01 52 25 17 131 (SE) 1528 PtlyCldy none 00:01 52 28 18 130 (SE) 1447 PtlyCldy none 01:01 51 30 16 122 (ESE) 1451 PtlyCldy none 02:01 48 38 17 129 (SE) 1482 PtlyCldy none 03:01 48 41 15 142 (SE) 1388 PtlyCldy none 04:01 50 38 14 178 (S) 1403 PtlyCldy none 05:01 48 36 13 172 (S) 916 PtlyCldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
