The sky was clear and all systems started up without trouble. The GFP team tried to make the best of conditions until about midnight when the winds suddenly kicked up and temps dropped rapidly. We soon had to close. As the night wore on the clouds moved in, humidity rose and temps lowered. The winds held up and we stayed closed until I decided it was fruitless and gave up. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:40 GFP -25(981) 220 65 10.9/13.3 64 17 4023A 1.2 20:55 NA2 Gdr 66(64065) 226 62 11.0/12.6 64 19 R 1.2 00:04 GFP 50(870) 168 67 8.8/9.2 82 22 4330A ?.? 00:32 NA2 Gdr 2181(66180) 189 67 6.1/8.0 67 30 R 4.5 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 57 -11 7 286 (WNW) 599 clear none 17:01 57 -7 12 307 (NW) 856 clear none 18:01 57 -1 3 326 (NW) 734 clear none 19:01 56 2 0 206 (SSW) 787 clear none 20:01 53 -1 13 41 (NE) 711 clear none 21:01 52 25 19 75 (ENE) 997 clear none 22:01 49 26 19 79 (ENE) 1332 clear none 23:01 49 24 20 80 (E) 1310 cirrus none 00:01 49 20 18 83 (E) 1244 cirrus none 01:01 40 25 33 74 (ENE) 1117 cirrus none 02:01 38 28 31 68 (ENE) 824 cloudy none 03:01 36 29 27 73 (ENE) 724 cloudy none 04:01 33 30 29 73 (ENE) 664 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
