It was warm, so it melted fast. We remained closed while thick fog, snow and rain alternately set in. Paula Szkody and I conducted some tests with DIS II to get a better feel for windowing and binning of the chips. There is significant time to be saved by binning if possible and it seems reasonable to keep the chips windowed as well. I left heaters on all night as temps were cooperative. Heaters were left on when I departed. Some ice on railings and walkway of 3.5m. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST/FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O/TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 30 29 12 277 (W) 1951 cloudy snow/rain 17:01 31 27 10 280 (W) 1494 cloudy snow/rain 18:01 32 29 18 289 (WNW) 1489 cloudy snow/rain 19:01 31 29 20 292 (WNW) 919 cloudy ????? 20:01 32 31 22 279 (W) 1622 cloudy ????? 21:01 33 30 13 286 (WNW) 1447 cloudy snow 22:01 33 30 15 282 (WNW) 649 cloudy snow 23:01 33 31 13 273 (W) 503 cloudy none 00:01 32 32 23 313 (NW) 873 cloudy fog 01:01 33 33 22 337 (NNW) 512 cloudy fog 02:01 33 32 19 337 (NNW) 500 cloudy none 03:01 33 32 10 2 (N) 655 cloudy none 04:01 33 32 11 351 (N) 790 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
