The clouds finally dispersed around 01:00 and we were able to open with high winds just under the limit. Smoke was noticed much of the night, but none of us sure which fire or state it was from. Seeing was not too good and air was turbulent. As the night progressed the seeing improved and the skies cleared up. We did have a couple of grim failures, the standard 'type 1' failures as well as one instance of the Grim ICC disconnecting from the hub. No lost time, restarts fixed it within in a minute. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:04 Grim f/5 -20(785) 253 78 12.2/13.3 270 23 J 1.37 02:41 Grim f/5 150(888) 273 57 10.1/10.5 266 17 J 0.93 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 63 20 27 248 (WSW) 648 cloudy none 17:01 62 23 20 259 (W) 1059 cloudy none 18:01 61 23 26 263 (W) 2811 cloudy none 19:01 59 24 22 253 (WSW) 2174 cloudy none 20:01 58 22 26 252 (WSW) 2204 cloudy none 21:01 57 25 29 251 (WSW) 1293 cloudy none 22:01 57 18 22 265 (W) 1654 cloudy none 23:01 55 15 20 262 (W) 1981 cloudy none 00:01 54 14 16 263 (W) 1755 ptly cldy none 01:01 52 12 20 268 (W) 1841 clear none 02:01 51 11 16 265 (W) 1730 clear none 03:01 50 12 20 248 (WSW) 1389 clear none 04:01 49 18 21 252 (WSW) 1432 clear none 05:01 47 15 24 267 (W) 1238 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
