Dembicky I opened the dome/turned on fans at 17:30 MST to cool. The observers started their twilight flats around 18:40 and we were focused and on the sky taking science at 19:25. The NMSU folks had a problem with their Remark crashing (V2.80b) every once in a while. It seemed to occur just after they would send me a message thru the message window. It just required them to restart Remark. The Altitude drive quit tracking for unknown reasons and the drives needed to be reset and instrument re-initialized to fix the problem. Other than the PI observer trying to connect from KPNO and subsequently discovering a bizzare bug with Remark that crashes the MC (well it has been known actually) when Remark tries to call back and encounters a stealth firewall, things rans smoothly. Luckily we were using SPIcam tonight and the Remark-MC bug did not affect observations. The dust sensor in the enclosure was reading between 600-1200 cts higher than the recently calibrated one outside. All night long we hovered around the 3000ct mark for the 1.0u readings. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST/FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O/TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- NM01/S T/H 22:10 22:34 Altitude drive stopped tracking PR# 2002063 submitted.
