Dembicky Started the cooling fans around 17:30 tonight under cloudy sky. I delayed opening the enclosure until I was more certain that the threat of rain was gone and then opened the enclosure at 19:45 to continue cooling. We still had cirrus in the sky but things had improved in the past hour. We focused at 20:28 with excellent seeing in I band at 0.76 arc sec. Seeing was good all night long but tended to drift and we needed to check focus several times during the night. No problems tonight with the equipment. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:28 SPIcam -110(867) 122 66 11.6/13.9 1 7 I 0.76 20:34 NA2gdr 1378(62378) 125 68 11.4/13.8 5 5 R 0.92 22:20 SPIcam 30(941) 261 57 10.4/11.8 59 9 I 0.85 22:28 NA2gdr 1765(62765) 262 55 9.9/11.7 76 16 R 1.12 01:07 SPIcam 100(945) 184 46 9.2/8.9 106 6 I 0.91 01:17 NA2gdr 307(61307) 188 46 9.7/8.9 104 3 clear 1.14 02:56 SPIcam 190(958) 246 80 10.0/9.6 203 2 I 0.68 03:02 NA2gdr 784(61784) 250 79 10.0/9.6 210 5 R 0.77 04:38 SPIcam 70(873) 15 56 9.2/9.3 181 7 I 0.98 04:44 NA2gdr 1098(62098) 14 57 9.5/9.3 179 6 R 1.22 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 57 18 6 294 (WNW) 742 Mst.
