Dembicky Started the cooling fans around 18:00 tonight. The NA2 guider gave me some trouble, then I figured out that I was starting the Echelle guider and not the NA2 guider. I then got a strange error when trying to take a NA2 guider image (not related to the above error) and found that there indeed was something awry with the guider when I found a red status light lit on the NA2 guider controller. Resetting it did not fix the problem. Since DIS is on all night tonight, worse case is the observers can manually guide via the slitviewer. PR submitted and phone call to Mark Klaene. Clouds kept us closed at the first half of the night and started breaking around 00:30. I opened the enclosure at 01:18 after the 2nd half observer finished their lamp cals. Other than the NA2 guider not working everything else ran smoothly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UW01 O I/H --:-- --:-- NA2 guider status lamp red PR# 2002069 submitted ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:25 DISslit 30(772) 247 73 11.2/11.7 272 11 none 0.98 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 57 14 1 306 (NW) 851 Mst.
