Skies clear although still windy. No problems encountered. Seeing was not too hot until later in evening when we did get sub-arcsecond. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half remained clear with dust levels dropping, but the seeing did grow worse again, for no reason that was apparent from ground level. The UC observer had a little Mac trouble that was resolved before her start time, and everything else went perfectly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:46 DIS II 0(481) -44 53 4.4/3.1 262 19 - 1.83 19:48 NA2 Gdr -3703(53296) -44 53 4.3/3.1 275 20 R 1.42 21:15 DIS II -110(329) 127 46 1.5/2.6 303 16 - 1.31 21:19 NA2 Gdr -3311(53689) 299 72 1.4/2.6 278 15 R 0.95 00:23 GrIm2(f/5) 60(305) 259 78 0.4/0.7 267 16 J 1.27 03:10 Echelle 150(-562) 148 68 -1.0/-0.8 293 15 ND1 1.94 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 43 6 28 265 (W) 2783 clear dusty 17:01 41 6 30 273 (W) 4984 clear dusty 18:01 40 4 17 270 (W) 1922 clear dusty 19:01 37 6 15 264 (W) 5027 clear dusty 20:01 37 6 18 269 (W) 2127 clear none 21:01 35 6 21 289 (WNW) 1873 clear none 22:01 35 6 17 280 (W) 1823 clear none 23:01 34 5 10 279 (W) 1305 clear none 00:01 33 5 15 268 (W) 1228 clear none 01:01 32 4 12 289 (WNW) 635 clear none 02:01 32 4 11 266 (W) 483 clear none 03:01 31 4 14 284 (WNW) 464 clear none 04:01 30 5 15 298 (WNW) 434 clear none 05:01 29 7 22 291 (WNW) 381 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
