I opened the dome at 16:45 MST to begin cooling. All systems started up and tested out OK. We had photometric skies and calm winds. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan Second half remained clear, but the seeing became unreliable as the wind shifted east of north. Typical seeing values after 02:00 ranged from 1.5 to 3 arcsec. Everything worked perfectly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:32 SPIcam +100(467) 188 57 -1.9/-0.9 27 22 i' 0.96 18:42 NA2 Gdr 800(62503) 189 57 -1.8/-0.9 20 19 R 1.01 19:45 SPIcam 50(391) 206 55 -2.3/-1.7 19 15 i' 0.89 19:47 NA2 Gdr 819(61817) 194 47 -2.7/-1.8 12 9 R 1.08 00:22 DISslit 150(273) 48 73 -0.8/-2.0 23 18 - 1.23 00:25 NA2gdr 676(57676) 48 73 -0.8/-1.9 23 18 R 1.10 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 33 13 6 67 (ENE) 93 clear photometric 17:01 31 6 17 57 (NE) 83 clear photometric 18:01 29 4 19 50 (NE) 61 clear photometric 19:01 29 -1 7 23 (NNE) 65 clear photometric 20:01 28 -2 13 33 (NNE) 71 clear photometric 21:01 28 -8 21 33 (NNE) 64 clear photometric 22:01 30 -10 19 21 (NNE) 47 clear photometric 23:01 30 -10 16 25 (NNE) 38 clear photometric 00:01 29 -7 9 8 (N) 58 clear none 01:01 30 -7 12 15 (NNE) 54 clear none 02:01 31 -6 19 63 (ENE) 36 clear none 03:01 30 -6 19 65 (ENE) 43 clear none 04:01 29 -4 16 68 (ENE) 52 clear none 05:01 28 -5 14 67 (ENE) 56 clear none 06:01 31 -7 6 68 (ENE) 53 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
