We opened at about 18:10 under clear skies and light winds. Seeing wasn't so great -- measured initially at near 3 arcseconds with later anecdotal figures from the Sloanies at around 2. Otherwise, a very quiet first half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half was mostly clear with moderate to poor seeing (1.2 - 2.5 arcsec) and a few clouds passing by during the instrument change. Everything worked perfectly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:40 GrIm2(f/5) 150(280) 190 77 -2.7/-2.0 303 4 J 3.19 00:18 DISslit 75(153) 106 54 -3.9/-4.0 3 10 - 1.44 01:02 NA2gdr -2068(54931) 184 58 -4.1/-4.3 9 16 R 1.59 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 29 11 18 11 (N) 166 PtlyCldy none 17:01 30 11 10 292 (WNW) 158 PtlyCldy none 18:01 28 11 14 332 (NNW) 153 PtlyCldy none 19:01 27 12 13 354 (N) 158 MstlyClr none 20:01 27 11 17 337 (NNW) 131 Clear none 21:01 27 12 15 354 (N) 131 Clear none 22:01 27 6 17 357 (N) 107 Clear none 23:01 27 8 7 5 (N) 122 Clear none 00:01 25 9 17 14 (NNE) 115 mstly clr none 01:01 25 12 15 17 (NNE) 138 clear none 02:01 25 11 18 12 (NNE) 142 clear none 03:01 25 5 23 33 (NNE) 163 clear none 04:01 27 -1 20 19 (NNE) 168 clear none 05:01 28 -7 21 20 (NNE) 142 clear none 06:01 29 -7 20 14 (NNE) 134 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
