Ed Turner jumped on to take a few earthshine spectra again, with success. Soon after that the clouds moved in much thicker and inhibited observations. We were able to observe with much increased exposure times. No other problems encountered. Clouds became impenetrable after 23:00, so we closed and remained so. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:26 DISslit -040(354) 150 43 -0.2/+1.4 1 6 none 1.03 19:26 NA2 Gdr 276(57499) 151 44 -0.5/+1.1 359 5 none 1.21 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 35 17 2 296 (WNW) 445 cirrus none 17:01 33 18 3 268 (W) 536 cirrus none 18:01 33 17 3 358 (N) 427 cirrus none 19:01 32 18 6 3 (N) 377 cloudy none 20:01 32 18 2 314 (NW) 459 cloudy none 21:01 31 17 3 96 (E) 431 cloudy none 22:01 32 18 1 186 (S) 490 cloudy none 23:01 32 18 1 182 (S) 401 cloudy none 00:01 33 17 1 293 (WNW) 321 cloudy none 01:01 35 15 4 269 (W) 340 cloudy none 02:01 35 14 7 318 (NW) 242 cloudy none 03:01 35 14 9 314 (NW) 293 cloudy none 04:01 34 15 8 324 (NW) 357 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
