A fast moving front (it crossed Arizona in 4 hours) presented us with cloudcover shortly after 2100. The observer pointed out that the dis-slit offsets for the X direction still are not working properly. Second Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan High clouds continued to plague us during second half, making both guiding and science difficult. But we continued collecting photons, however slowly, and the observer concluded that she had gotten some usable data. She did mention that the pointing had gotten worse around 2200; I couldn't investigate fully without taking time, but there were no bad magnasensor readings. Aside from that, everything worked well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:50 DISslit -250() 140 65 3.6/4.8 195 10 - 1.45 18:07 NA2gdr 1339(54339) 142 65 3.4/4.8 195 7 R 1.39 22:41 DISslit 25(385) -1 70 1.2/1.6 217 17 - 1.33 22:42 NA2gdr 500(54000) -1 70 1.2/1.5 236 17 R 1.16 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 42 3 20 190 (S) 73 Clear None 17:01 39 -2 12 178 (S) 108 Clear None 18:01 37 -2 6 188 (S) 155 Clear None 19:01 38 -1 7 191 (S) 171 Clear None 20:01 36 0 10 211 (SSW) 157 Clear None 21:01 38 -2 12 247 (WSW) 98 Mstly Cldy None 22:01 37 0 11 229 (SW) 118 Mstly Cldy None 23:01 35 8 15 243 (WSW) 163 Mstly Cldy None 00:01 36 7 18 246 (WSW) 124 cirrus none 01:01 37 6 21 241 (WSW) 95 cirrus none 02:01 37 5 19 242 (WSW) 89 cirrus none 03:01 37 4 12 262 (W) 85 cirrus none 04:01 37 2 17 262 (W) 99 cirrus none 05:01 37 2 10 265 (W) 119 cirrus none 06:01 37 2 12 253 (WSW) 109 cirrus none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
