We started a focus run right before the end of twilight. Clouds were too thick for them to get anything, I closed for the rest of the first half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half had thickening clouds, high winds and threat of precipitation. No chance of science. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:22 SPIcam -100(643) 220 41 1.5/1.8 258 20 i' 1.28 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 35 11 16 241 (WSW) 1750 Mstly Cldy None 17:01 33 12 16 244 (WSW) 1798 Mstly Cldy None 18:01 35 11 21 264 (W) 1099 Mstly Cldy None 19:01 35 12 24 269 (W) 787 Cldy None 20:01 36 12 23 290 (WNW) 520 Cldy None 21:01 36 13 11 285 (WNW) 802 Cldy None 22:01 36 13 8 285 (WNW) 717 Cldy None 23:01 36 13 18 264 (W) 665 Cldy None 00:01 36 13 16 264 (W) 567 cloudy none 01:01 34 14 17 264 (W) 653 cloudy none 02:01 35 14 24 249 (WSW) 543 cloudy none 03:01 35 12 23 256 (WSW) 405 cloudy none 04:01 34 11 25 251 (WSW) 418 cloudy none 05:01 34 11 19 268 (W) 329 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
