Fog formed shortly afterwards with it lifting around 19:45 but still high humidity. The humidity finally dropped below closure conditions for long enough that I felt it safe to open at 22:35. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: W.Ketzeback Skies were clear the start of second half. Seeing bounced around quite a bit for the first few hours. The gmonitor was not updating the guider images and I filed a problem report for it. Due to some equipment problems the observer elected to switch to using the Echelle at 03:55. Shortly after this the humidity spiked and I was forced to close. Even after several resets of the GFP the observer was unable to communicate with it. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- UC04 F I/U 03:45 03:55 HW/SW unable to operate instrument ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:45 SPIcam -250(329) 173 57 0.9/1.2 317 14 r' 1.2 00:23 GFP -100(391) -33 62 0.4/0.7 298 12 4300 1.1 00:23 NA2gdr -1000(63000) -37 61 0.4/0.7 332 20 R 1.5 02:01 GFP 0(503) 163 51 -0.3/0.0 315 16 4300 1.7 02:13 NA2gdr -3723(60277) 164 52 -0.4/0.0 317 19 R 1.2 02:35 GFP -50(431) 167 54 -0.2/-0.3 295 8 4300 1.4 02:38 NA2gdr -4500(59500) 170 53 -0.2/-0.3 299 22 R 1.5 03:25 GFP 0(468) 179 55 -0.7/-0.4 300 24 4300 1.5 03:30 NA2gdr -4000(60000) 180 55 -0.8/-0.5 312 20 R 1.5 04:05 Echelle 96(-518) 344 62 -1.1/-0.7 296 22 --- 2.0 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 33 33 10 282 (WNW) 8565 Cloudy Fog 17:01 32 31 8 296 (WNW) 344 Cloudy Fog 18:01 31 31 13 318 (NW) 9324 Cloudy Fog 19:01 31 31 8 13 (NNE) 6377 Cloudy Fog 20:01 32 31 16 337 (NNW) 302 Cloudy Fog 21:01 32 30 17 325 (NW) 293 Clear none 22:01 33 28 17 313 (NW) 320 Clear none 23:01 33 26 19 291 (WNW) 448 Clear none 00:01 34 25 22 315 (NW) 437 Clear none 01:01 32 27 11 294 (WNW) 554 Clear none 02:01 32 26 14 315 (NW) 452 Clear none 03:01 32 25 21 299 (WNW) 486 Clear none 04:01 30 26 21 289 (WNW) 411 Clear none 05:01 30 27 21 307 (NW) 457 Clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
