The sky began clearing around sunset, but after inspecting shutter rails and consulting over the phone with Russet, we made the executive decision to not risk derailing the shutters by opening. The 3/8-inch layer of solid ice coating the rails convinced us that it was the right decision. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEGDFVO) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
