After cals and focusing the telescope I went to focus the NA2 guider and got the zero pixel value background problem, which a restart quickly fixed. The rest of first half was uneventful. 2nd half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan Second half was clear, with good to excellent seeing. Everything worked smoothly. When the increasing moonlight made it difficult for the observers to continue their science (and with the forecast for the next week or so in mind), I quickly jumped in with some Shack-Hartmann observations. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:48 DISslit 0(379) 137 42 1.8/2.7 266 19 - 1.52 18:58 NA2gdr 351(53351) 140 44 2.3/2.7 258 23 R 1.46 05:01 S-H 0(873) 118 58 1.3/1.5 268 11 - 0.6 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 41 21 19 245 (WSW) 160 clear none 17:01 39 22 17 261 (W) 232 clear none 18:01 37 19 21 250 (WSW) 266 clear none 19:01 36 18 18 259 (W) 267 clear none 20:01 38 18 15 271 (W) 209 clear none 21:01 39 18 16 291 (WNW) 216 clear none 22:01 38 20 15 296 (WNW) 260 clear none 23:01 37 19 22 292 (WNW) 234 clear none 00:01 37 18 20 290 (WNW) 206 clear none 01:01 38 16 16 276 (W) 178 clear none 02:01 37 19 18 272 (W) 204 clear none 03:01 36 20 15 269 (W) 237 clear none 04:01 35 20 16 270 (W) 208 clear none 05:01 34 20 10 268 (W) 236 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
