Before the weather got too bad, I borrowed some time for a very quick Shack-Hartmann test (the final measurement before the telescope comes apart tomorrow). After that, the observer was able to get a few targets before the clouds and humidity became too much and we had to close. We made one more attempt when the humidity dropped a while later, but got only a little science through the clouds. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:59 SPIcam 0(749)* 72 44 5.5/6.8 284 5 9100 0.86 22:00 NA2guider -2905(60998) 295 58 4.7/4.8 189 7 clear 1.04 22:18 SPIcam 150(756)* 165 57 4.6/4.8 188 7 9100 0.69 22:25 NA2guider 900(61900) 165 57 4.7/4.8 189 7 clear 0.85 01:01 S-H 0(1036)* 141 61 4.3/4.1 213 8 - 1.0 The zeropoint for these instruments were changed after these measurements. --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 49 31 8 271 (W) 190 Ptly Cldy None 17:01 49 34 9 251 (WSW) 227 Ptly Cldy None 18:01 44 30 7 236 (SW) 201 Ptly Cldy None 19:01 41 27 7 199 (SSW) 202 Ptly Cldy None 20:01 40 29 8 204 (SSW) 301 Cloudy None 21:01 41 27 6 207 (SSW) 369 Cloudy None 22:01 41 32 7 199 (SSW) 372 Clear None 23:01 41 32 7 214 (SW) 343 Ptly Cldy None 00:01 39 32 4 228 (SW) 407 Clear None 01:01 40 34 7 202 (SSW) 458 ptly cldy none 02:01 40 35 7 195 (SSW) 439 mstly cldy none 03:01 40 36 9 192 (SSW) 438 mstly cldy none 04:01 42 28 6 242 (WSW) 351 ptly cldy none 05:01 40 33 8 226 (SW) 464 mstly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
