B-G gave up and logged off at 00:20. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: J.Dembicky Clouds kept us closed for most of the night. The humidity rose to closure limits around 03:00 but fell and conditions improved (marginally) by around 04:50 but radar showed clouds forming to the W and S of us. At 05:20 we observed lightning to the W and SW of us and rain was seen between us and El Paso. Conditions were marginal at best and with the threat of precipitation/lightning approaching we decided to give up for the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 56 33 14 227 (SW) 254 PtlyCldy none 17:01 51 31 11 218 (SW) 260 PtlyCldy none 18:01 47 33 7 221 (SW) 268 MstlyCldy none 19:01 45 34 3 146 (SE) 326 MstlyCldy none 20:01 46 34 3 189 (S) 331 MstlyCldy none 21:01 46 36 8 235 (SW) 246 MstlyCldy none 22:01 46 38 9 204 (SSW) 238 MstlyCldy none 23:01 46 33 13 316 (NW) 264 MstlyCldy none 00:01 46 32 6 286 (WNW) 194 MstlyCldy none 01:01 47 31 11 302 (WNW) 292 MstlyCldy none 02:01 44 35 9 210 (SSW) 217 MstlyCldy none 03:01 43 38 10 190 (S) 375 MstlyCldy none 04:01 41 37 5 179 (S) 399 MstlyCldy none 05:01 43 36 2 208 (SSW) 458 MstlyCldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
