Opened the enclosure/telescope at 18:45 under cirrus skies. We focused the telescope at 19:25 under 0.66 arc sec seeing with GrIm in K'. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R.McMillan The first half observer had little luck with GRIM, but there was some thinning of the clouds at midnight and we had hopes for the DIS program. We were able to focus and get set up on the first target, but the clouds thickened just a few minutes into the first exposure and we closed soon afterward. The sky began to clear after 05:30, leaving just barely enough time to get some useful spectra for the final program. ------- OBSERVER COMMENTS ------- ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:25 GrIm-f/5 -50 ? ? ?/? ? ?
