Opened the enclosure/telescope at 17:05 under clearing cirrus skies. Seeing went way south around 22:00 jumping between 1.5-2.5 arc sec. By 23:00 we were lucky to get 3 arc sec with it bouncing between 3-4 arc sec. Sloan reported that they were seeing similiar conditions with their telescope. We switched over to GrIm at 00:10 and the seeing had improved to about 1 arc sec in J when we focused. Everything ran smoothly tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:05 SPIcam -50(653) 144 52 6.1/6.7 3 9 g' 1.02 18:16 NA2gdr 1420(62420) 146 52 6.3/6.5 358 10 R 1.13 20:15 SPIcam -40(469) -42 76 3.3/3.4 10 13 g' 1.16 20:22 NA2gdr -347(60652) -48 74 3.4/3.3 10 21 R 1.10 00:22 GrIm-f/10 20(425) 152 60 4.6/3.3 22 18 J 0.98 00:28 NA2gdr -2616(57384) 152 60 4.6/3.3 22 18 R 1.85 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 44 24 9 214 (SW) 88 Lt.
