Russet came in for the first half to help the 1st set of observers with their observations of the moon. The skies rapidly clouded up after the enclosure opened but the 1st set of observers were at least able to find the moon with the DIS slit camera and try (in vain) for a spectra. The clouds grew thicker and by 18:55 I decided that it was time to close the telescope since no science could be reasonably obtained anymore. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan Continued clouds all second half. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 6 16 263 (W) 128 Pt.
