No problems encountered. In addition, I had John start operating the Echelle to get used to normal procedures for focus and such. All went well despite bad seeing. Second half the seeing went subarcsecond and stayed near 0.8" The second half observations with SPIcam were some of the most productive I have seen, with the observers logging more than 250 images! ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:03 Echelle 50(027) 116 33 10.8/13.5 74 17 clear 2.71" 23:30 Echelle 279(047) 182 40 10.6/ 9.6 80 11 clear 1.66" 01:00 SPIcam 150(853) 83 83 11.2/10.5 105 7 r' 1.22" 04:05 NA2 Gdr 2997(???) 11 44 11.0/11.0 154 11 clear 1.13" --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 65 35 8 262 (W) 997 clear none 17:01 64 34 11 231 (SW) 821 clear none 18:01 59 33 6 221 (SW) 653 clear none 19:01 57 35 1 232 (SW) 436 clear none 20:01 50 37 16 67 (ENE) 396 clear none 21:01 47 36 15 78 (ENE) 385 clear none 22:01 46 36 16 76 (ENE) 367 clear none 23:01 52 30 11 78 (ENE) 795 clear none 00:01 52 31 8 91 (E) 712 clear none 01:01 53 27 6 84 (E) 619 clear none 02:01 54 23 9 133 (SE) 502 clear none 03:01 53 27 0 172 (S) 621 clear none 04:01 53 29 9 151 (SSE) 615 clear none 05:01 51 31 4 268 (W) 598 clear none 06:01 51 29 8 176 (S) 531 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
