The observers started taking biases and flats at 19:45 under mostly clear skies. Observers were taking their first science images by 20:05. Seeing was mediocre at the start of the evening and improved at times to sub arc second by the middle of the night. By the end of the night the seeing really got worse with readings in the 2 to 3+ arc sec range. Despite the poor seeing the Colorado folks got some good data with DIS tonight. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:10 DISslit -150(620) 104 57 10.2/14.1 152 1 none 1.72 20:22 NA2gdr 2558(58558) 106 59 10.3/13.9 210 0 R 1.13 22:08 DISslit -45(722) 111 32 10.4/11.4 10 10 none 1.41 22:17 NA2gdr -245(55754) 113 34 10.4/11.3 20 10 R 1.22 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 59 34 6 214 (SW) 307 Clear none 18:01 56 36 9 222 (SW) 409 Clear none 19:01 52 36 5 233 (SW) 426 Clear none 20:01 50 35 2 176 (S) 409 Clear none 21:01 51 35 1 356 (N) 389 Clear none 22:01 50 35 10 29 (NNE) 343 Clear none 23:01 53 28 10 80 (E) 326 Clear none 00:01 53 23 0 164 (SSE) 299 Clear none 01:01 53 24 0 89 (E) 278 Clear none 02:01 53 20 3 107 (ESE) 313 Clear none 03:01 49 33 8 4 (N) 415 Clear none 04:01 52 18 3 89 (E) 244 Clear none 05:01 49 29 4 9 (N) 306 Clear none 06:01 54 13 6 57 (NE) 178 Clear none 07:01 54 11 5 72 (ENE) 187 Clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
